V. Philip Boname
Chairman & CEO
Philip is the driving force behind the development and growth of Urbanics Consultants Ltd. He has more than 48 years of professional experience in a wide variety of studies related to commercial and residential market feasibility, urban development and transit-oriented developments. In addition, he has extensive experience in conducting financial feasibility studies, economic impact assessments and downtown revitalization studies.
Siavash Tahan
President
Siavash has over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. He has worked in the mortgage banking sector helping finance billions of dollars worth of development. Over the past decade he has provided consulting and development management advice to a wide range of public and private sector clients helping them realize the value of their land and bringing projects to completion. He is also familiar with public policy and its impacts on real estate and the development industry. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a combined economics and politics degree and is also pursuing his CFA designation.
Claire McQuarrie-Jones, MCIP, RPP
Senior Vice President
Claire specializes in conducting revitalization studies, specialty retail studies, land use marketability and economic impact studies for residential, resort and retail land uses. She is also proficient in survey development and qualitative analysis. Claire is a graduate of the Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning program from Ryerson University, Toronto as well as the Bachelor of Environmental Studies program from York University, Toronto.
Brendan Dawe
Associate
Brendan has extensive experience in urban planning and market analytics, with an emphasis on evolving developments in housing and land use policy in British Columbia. He has contributed greatly to market and economic studies for housing, industrial, institutional and commercial development, as well as conducting extensive urban planning studies for governments across Western Canada. Brendan is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Julian Wong
Analyst
Julian is experienced in private sector consultation and feasibility studies. He has over five years of experience working with corporate commercial real estate firms specializing in research and market analytics across all asset types. In addition, he has four years of experience in the development industry in Greater Vancouver. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia completing both a Diploma in Urban Land Economics specialization in Appraisal and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology and a minor in Economics.
Kyle Yoshida
Analyst
Kyle holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Specialization) from the University of British Columbia and is a Leslie Wong Fellow. Prior to joining Urbanics, Kyle worked in the financial services and accounting industries. He is experienced in data analytics as well as quantitative and qualitative research methods.
