Wheatland County and ISL Engineering retained Urbanics to carry out an Industrial Supply and Demand study which will aid in the development of Wheatland County’s Goldfinch Industrial Area Structure Plan. Urbanics’s work included:
- An analysis of the socio-demographic make-up of Wheatland County in comparison to the region;
- A population and employment projection for Wheatland County over a 25-year period (2016-2041);
- An analysis of the industrial land supply in the County, including the amount of land by zoning type, where industrial land is in the County, the amount of industrial land that is utilized or underutilized, and the size of industrial parcels;
- A projection of the demand for industrial land in the County and determination of the probable market capture rate of the Goldfinch Area Structure Plan over the study period (2016-2041);
- An analysis of the socio-demographic make-up of Wheatland County in comparison to the region;
- A population and employment projection for Wheatland County over a 25-year period; and,
- An analysis of the supply of industrial land in the County, including, the amount of land by zoning type, where industrial land is in the County, the amount of industrial land that is utilized/underutilized and the size of industrial parcels.
