Economic Conditions and Impact Assessment

Urbanics Consultants Ltd. was retained by the Squamish Economic Development Coalition to conduct an Economic Conditions and Impact Assessment for the upcoming Woodfibre LNG Refinery being built in Squamish, BC. The report begins by evaluating the current economic conditions in Squamish and BC in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The holistic economic value generated during construction and operations of the LNG refinery will be measured within Squamish and BC where applicable. Emphasis has been placed on examining the impacts associated with GDP growth and assisting the post pandemic economic recovery, job creation, increased government taxes and revenue.
