Westport Village: Rezoning & OCP Amendment

March 14, 2017

Urbanics is assisting Andrew Peller Limited in redeveloping their 5-acre under-utilized site in Port Moody. Urbanics has already conducted a highest and best use study for the property and is currently involved in the rezoning and OCP amendment process for the mixed use development (725,000 sq.ft.). The application was supported unanimously by the Community Planning Advisory Committee as well as the Advisory Design Panel.

The concept is an outcome of over 10 years of community consultations and holds great support from the community due to the great number of amenities and community benefits provided such as a publicly accessible plaza, enhanced Schoolhouse Creek with pedestrian bridge, public art etc. Westport Village is the most exciting development currently in Port Moody’s pipeline and will surely put it on the map. It will be built in a single phase.

The next step in the process is the first and second reading before council.
