OCP and Growth Management

 

We assist local governments in identifying and quantifying the timing and location of projected growth over the short-term (next 5 years), medium-term (5 -15 years) and long-term (15- 30 years) period. These analyses typically involve:

Growth Management Strategy

District of Squamish, BC (2005)

Urbanics along with Earth Tech and the Sheltair Group assisted in the preparation of Squamish’s long run (until 2031) Growth Management Strategy. The study identified a growth strategy for:

  • Optimal land use mix and related community amenities 

  • Enhancing the attraction of the District as a place to live, work and play

  • Ensuring better management of the fiscal, environmental, and social concerns of the community
