Brentwood Town Centre Site - Commercial Market Study

Burnaby, BC (2013)

  • Undertook an office and retail market assessment for the redevelopment of a 12.6 acre transit-oriented site

  • Employed three methodologies as a means of better testing the demand for future office space

  • Identified a mix of retailers not presently served within the vicinity of the site, with the goal to develop a unique shopping experience that complements and is complemented by the major retail operations nearby

  • Recommended a multi-phased development program and provided preferred space allotments and tenants

Cochrane Land Use Market Study

Cochrane, AB (2011)

  • A detailed land use and market analysis for a 540 acre site within Cochrane Alberta

  • Identified the level of market opportunity for a variety of land uses including retail, office, seniors’ assisted living facility, hotel and light industrial

  • The study found:

    • Greater demand for cleaner, knowledge based employment, instead of traditional manufacturing

    • Strong support for home based employment opportunities in new developments 

    • Greater need for more efficient usage of land and achieving higher densities in the new developments

Prospect Village Development Area Market Study and Analysis

Kansas City, Missouri (2013)

  • The study was undertaken for an approximately 25 acre site, situated in a neighbourhood that has historically been underserved.

  • Assessed demand for retail, office, institutional (health care uses), entertainment, and residential land uses

  • Provided a recommended retail tenant mix, which included a mix of national/international tenants

  • ​Provided a description of the recommended retail orientation (entertainment and life-styles uses)

  • Outlined potential strategies for revitalizing the district

North East Urban Expansion Area Regional Commercial Market Study

Swift Current, SK (2013)

The study assessed the rapidly expanding population and economic base of the City and identified market support for:

Long-term Land-use and Market Analysis

Abbotsford, BC (2011)
